When creating a new article, please remember to follow the guidelines outlined in the Manual of Style, including bolding the subject's name, italicising game titles (as you've already been reminded above), categories and templates. Your article was also deleted because creating an article for each individual character's Trick Shot would be unnecessary, since the only differences between them are the animations, which themselves are too short and not significant enough to deserve separate articles. I would suggest creating a single article for Trick Shot instead, then listing the variations for each character (though without the names; as far as I know, "Ribbon Fling" isn't official). Since you're new here, it might be worth your time to look over Help:Contents as well, as there's a lot of information useful for editing and creating new pages found there. Thanks. 01:25, 3 June 2018 (EDT) |

Writing style
Hi, and welcome to the wiki! When writing on articles, please remember though that they should be kept in a professional and encyclopedic tone. That means avoiding language as if you're "talking" directly to the reader commonly found in strategy guides and walkthroughs, with phrases like "Don't be afraid to...", and emphasis with exclamation points. We also write in third-person, so please avoid using the word "you"; instead, use "the player". More information can be found here. Mario JC 05:41, 9 May 2018 (EDT)
Suggestions for new pages
I'll take this into perspective for my next edit. Plus, I have got a suggestion for my next edit - I want to make an article listing all the quotes from Mario Party 10 (Since there is no page for that yet). I need to know how I can create that. 13:07, 2 June 2018 (AEST)
- Great! Just search "List of Mario Party 10 quotes" and click on the red link (alternatively, click here). However, you need to be autoconfirmed before you can create articles (i.e. you must have an account for at least five days and made at least four edits, so you're just one edit away). - Hey, nice job so far! Keep in mind that game titles need to be in italics. It's easy - all you have to do is place two pairs of apostrophes in between the text you want italicized (ex:
Mario Party 10
). Also, be sure to add a navigation template at the bottom from this list depending on the game (it would be MP10 in this case), then add a category at the bottom as well (in this case, it would be Category:Mario Party 10). No other issues are present, so keep up the good work! (T|C) 00:44, 2 June 2018 (EDT)

Hey Toadette The Achiever! Thank you for your edit before. You know, I think this should be a page for all of us to work on. 1:53 P.M, 3 June 2018
References
Umm... I wanted to know how I can add new references to pages like Mario Tennis Aces. I found a website showing all playable Defensive and Powerful characters. How do I add that? 2:03 P.M, 3 June 2018
- To do inline citations, just add

at the point in the article where you want the citation to show up, replacing the "..." with the actual source itself. Hope that helps! (T|C) 00:09, 3 June 2018 (EDT)- Darn, got edit sniped :P More information can be found at MarioWiki:Citations, so give that a look. 00:10, 3 June 2018 (EDT)
Image category reminder
Hello, Gameboy2345. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: or Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |

Ribbon Fling
The page(s) you recently created (Ribbon Fling) has/have been put up for deletion, has been deleted, or turned into a redirect. This may be because it violated at least one of the policies and/or guidelines of the Super Mario Wiki. There are some things you can do to ensure this doesn't happen again.
If the article has only been tagged to be deleted you can still fix or expand it, but an administrator may delete it at any time, so please act quickly. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing! |
