(It's actually not all that hard, I've hit the pole a number of time. Hole-in-one or albatross is hard, and if anything, it makes getting the ball in the hole harder. In other words, subjective.)

A Flag Shot is an event in Mario Golf series. It doesn't affect the player's score or power-ups. To get a Flag Shot, the player's golf ball must hit the flag on the pin sticking out of the hole. The player will only know if the golf ball has hit the flag by a sound effect that plays when the ball makes contact with the flag.
