Super Paper Mario
In Super Paper Mario, the keys are found in the Yold Ruins. There are three Ruins Keys found throughout the level. The first key is found in a treasure chest in a small room containing two Spiky Tromps that is accessed by revealing two yellow blocks under a door in midair using the flip technique. The second key is revealed after Mario throws a Squig at a switch, causing blocks that were previously blocking it to rearrange. The third key is found on a small staircase behind a cage of blocks that is accessed using the flip technique. They are used to open locks found on doors in Yold Ruins, allowing Mario to access more of the area.
