Blaze the Cat is a fourteen-year-old princess from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, introduced to the series in Sonic Rush. Possessing the ability of pyrokinesis, she is the princess of an alternate dimension and the guardian of the Sol Emeralds, her world's version of the Chaos Emeralds. Blaze starts out withdrawn and aloof until she meets Cream the Rabbit, who, along with Sonic and others, teaches her the meaning and value of friendship.

She is also featured as a playable character in the Mario & Sonic series, with her character type being All-Around. Blaze is fast and has the most power and the lowest skill of all female characters in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. She was voiced by Bella Hudson and is currently voiced now by Laura Bailey.
