Name
If both names were in Prima, as the references indicate, wouldn't it have made more sense to go with the shorter one? There's a reason "Princess Peach Toadstool" and "King Bowser Koopa" are redirects. It's easier to search for, and people are more likely to remember it. - Both names are used in full, I just shortened it for convenience. The only difference is the o/u; no need to repeat the entire name if most of them are the same. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 01:41, 27 October 2017 (EDT)
- Ah. OK then. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 01:44, 27 October 2017 (EDT)
- Well, if they are both from Prima, the "Mollusque" one should be used, as that's the proper spelling of the French word for Mollusk. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 03:07, 27 October 2017 (EDT)
- "Mollosque" is used more consistently and appears within the section for the Seaside Kingdom. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 12:55, 27 October 2017 (EDT)
it's worth pointing out "Mollosque" might not be a typo, but a deliberate pun... but then again, it's Prima. In French, "molosse" refers to the molosser category of dog breeds (comprising bulldogs, rottweillers, mastifs, and many other fun breeds) and more informally can be used to refer to any big and dangerous creature. --Glowsquid (talk) 13:11, 27 October 2017 (EDT)
- In the game itself, in the music section, his name is simply given as Mollusque-Lanceur (the short version, and also with a u, not o) so it may still have been a typo. ~ Qyzxf (talk)
- Wouldn't that mean we should move the article to that, seeing as that's the in-game name? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:46, 1 November 2017 (EDT)
