Yes, ImageOptim is similar to PNG Monstrous. In the settings, make sure "enable lossy minification" is '''off''' (in the "quality" tab of the settings screen). In the general tab, make sure Zopfli is on. Enabling other options in that list (e.g., PNGOUT and OptiPNG) can also be a good idea, but it will take significantly longer and the effects may be insignificant for some images. --{{User:Supermariofan67/sig}} 11:55, 30 July 2017 (EDT) |

Hello
I see you are placing [[Category:Mario Kart: Super Circuit]] under the game's race track pages. Please know that [[Category:Mario Kart: Super Circuit Race Courses]] already serves as a sub category of the main category, as part of the Category Branch trees on the MarioWiki:Categories. --L151 00:48, 9 May 2017 (EDT)
Okay, sorry about that. I thought to add them there just in case.
- By the way, please remember that you need to sign your posts on a talk page. You can do this by using this ~ four times. CrashBash (talk) 04:23, 9 May 2017 (EDT)
RE: Translations
From YouTube, or websites like this, then I translate the ones I know the meaning to myself. Mario JC 01:20, 4 July 2017 (EDT)
Re: Super Bakarhythm Land Image
RE: MKWii Battle Course Minimaps
MarioWiki is more relaxed with editing than other NIWA wikis (which has its own pros and cons, from my experiences editing). If something is missing, just make the edits and uploads. I'm not a moderator. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 22:28, 15 July 2017 (EDT)
Wii U Screenshots
If your Super Mario Maker screenshots are of you playing the game yourself, did you know that you can use your Wii U's built-in browser to upload 1280x720 images of games instead of the more limited 800x450 taken from Miiverse? --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 20:13, 17 July 2017 (EDT)
- Should be fine. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 20:52, 17 July 2017 (EDT)
If you are directly converting JPEG to PNG, it is against policy to upload that image and is recommended to upload the original JPEG. This is different than replacing a JPEG with an image recaptured from a lossless source and then saved as a PNG, as that is allowed. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 04:54, 20 July 2017 (EDT)
Re: SMM Image
OK. Thanks for the information. I'll undo the previous edits I've done to both of those images you've uploaded. – Owencrazyboy9 (talk) 00:24, 20 July 2017 (EDT)
Personal images
Template:Personal-image-warning
You currently have 7 personal images, which meams at least three will have to go per policy. Just a heads up. LB (talk • edits • forum) 10:16, 20 July 2017 (EDT)
I was unaware of that policy. Thanks for the heads up and I'll get right on that. LuigiMaster123 10:20, 20 July 2017 (EDT)
Uploads Optimizations
I see that your uploaded PNGs could use some optimization by using PNG Monstrous. If you don't have Windows, there are subsections of other PNG optimizers for other operating systems (those programs are not owned by me). --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 01:31, 27 July 2017 (EDT)
- I don't have a Mac so I can't really help you getting the settings correct. However, I would get in touch with Supermariofan67 (talk) because he is the one who introduced me to the Mac PNG optimizer, but I don't know if he will get back to you. His current status:
Current project: Replacing and uploading Mario Kart Wii and New Super Mario Bros. Wii screenshots, doing various file maintenance (mostly for those two games). |
