Square Enix, formerly known as Squaresoft, is a video game-making company who once worked for Nintendo and made Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars; however, they have since switched to work for Sony. They have recently, however, made Mario Hoops 3 on 3 for the Nintendo DS; and made Itadaki Street DS, another game for the DS.
