Template:Articleabout Template:Species-infobox Gordos[1] are submerged fish enemies which appear in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Their laterally flattened bodies make them resemble coral reef fish, but their frowny mouths seem more like those of basses. Most of a Gordo's body is violet in color, while its ventral area has a lighter tint.

With each of them possessing small fins and displaying a careless figure, Gordos always swim from side to side in a relaxed manner, without any manifested intention to hurt the Kongs. They can be dangerous nevertheless, as a mere bump into them can actually grant damage to the player-controlled heroes. Gordos twirl quickly when defending themselves, and due to their large and solid constitution, Gordos are tougher to beat than Finleys, for example, as three Corkscrew attacks are required to defeat each of them. A single cane swipe from Cranky Kong can alternatively put an early end to these foes.

Gordos can be found consistently in several parts of the game, which include marine environments. This said, they inhabit worlds like Lost Mangroves and Sea Breeze Cove; some Gordos are literally floating in mid-air within the Rocket Rails stage, where they impede the Kongs' minecart ride, whilst being vulnerable to crashes or stomps.
