A Pal Pill is a item used in Super Paper Mario. They appear out of ? Blocks and look like three 8-bit Mario heads arranged in a triangle. Once the player touches the item, an army of mini 8-bit versions of the current character appears, surrounding the active character. The Pill Pals will mimic the player's every motion and even follow them through doors and Warp Pipes. If the player encounters an enemy he or she can instruct the Pal Pills to jump on it. If a Pill Pal gets hit by an enemy they both will die.
However, once the player leaves the area, either by using the Return Pipe or hitting the Star Block, the Pill Pals disappear.
