Button Masher is a microgame found in the Retro Action stage in WarioWare: Touched! It is very similar to the microgame Famicom.
This microgame can be seen on the reverse box art.
Gameplay
The objective of the game is to mash the button of the NES controller (Famicom controller in the Japanese version) to clear the game on screen. The player must score 20 points or more to clear the microgame. None of the games represent an actual NES title, but they are all inspired by games of the 8-bit era.
- 1st level difficulty: A space shooter game. The player must shoot bullets from a spaceship continuously to defeat a group of aliens.
- 2nd level difficulty: An explorer game. The player must time the explorer's punches to destroy incoming flying urns.
- 3rd level difficulty: A boxing game based on the microgame Punch Out from WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!
