Banana Fairies are characters in the Donkey Kong video games. They are small, yellow fairies that are ruled by a queen and live on Banana Fairy Island.
In the Banana Fairies' debut appearance in Donkey Kong 64, the fairies were scared off by the Kremlings. Once Tiny Kong met their queen, she and all of the other Kongs were given a camera to help recollect the scattered fairies. Once all of them were collected, Tiny would be given a special Golden Banana with a Rare, Ltd. logo on it.
After a long absence from the Donkey Kong Universe, the fairies are returning in Donkey Kong Barrel Blast. Although they are confirmed as items that appear in red balloons, it is unknown what they will do.
