I brought this up on the forums a while back and then promptly forgot about it, but I might as well pose this question on the wiki proper: is there anything distinguishing Clampy from Clam? Clampies trap players in NSMBW, unlike regular Clams but in SM64/SM64DS, they're just props, which are exactly like regular Clams. Would anyone object to a merge? {{User:Time Turner/sig}} | I brought this up on the forums a while back and then promptly forgot about it, but I might as well pose this question on the wiki proper: is there anything distinguishing Clampy from Clam? :Sorry for the delayed response. Both [[Clam]] and [[Clampy]] ''already'' share information on SM64 and NSMBW. Clamby may be redirected to Clamb after the information has been properly merged and all links updated. | |||

Naming
Do someone has a source about the name Clampy, because their is a citation needed template. If not, It could be better to move this article to Giant Clam which is source from NSMBU prima guide. Do someone can answer my question?--(TALK) 18:15, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
- According to the page creation summary, the source is apparently this, although the link appears to be broken. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 18:20, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
- The name's from the MK7 Prima guide, which I was in the middle of looking into. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- So, now we have a source. Thanks!--(TALK) 18:24, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
- One more thing, should we implement that broken link as a source, too? You know, to tell readers that we used to have a source before it became... that. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 18:24, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
- I'm a bit skeptical of it, actually; the URL makes me think that it's derived from NSMBW, but the Prima guide only uses "clams", and I think we'd notice if another official source listed a bunch of names. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- IMO, I will say yes, if someone want to know where we take the name (source) before it appear in Mario Kart 7 (from 2009 to 2011).--(TALK) 18:31, 27 July 2015 (EDT)

- ...Oh. This seems like a good candidate for being the name's source, especially since enter-play published the NSMBW cards. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Yes, your right, maybe this should be mentioned in this article.--(TALK) 18:43, 27 July 2015 (EDT)
