I think I remember another Baseball Boy, it looks like an umpire only covered with spikes, I think it was red and blue in color. Although I may just be remembering something else. -- Sir Grodus

Those are Grunts. 3D

Yeah, I guess it could be them I was thinking of. -- Sir Grodus

They sure look like a B. Boy. They could be an umpire, if you look at it that way... 3D

Necessity?

The article includes no more than two enemy types from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, both of which already have their own article. Most of this article also seems to be pure speculation which is not supported in any way in the games (Grunts as umpires?), and even the title itself only appears in the level name "The Baseball Boys" as far as I'm aware, and it is afaik not stated anywhere that this is even intended to be an official collective term for those two enemies. I don't really think this article is necessary, since it doesn't include any valuable information that can't just as easily be covered in the Green Glove and Slugger articles.--vellidragon 14:02, 20 December 2009 (EST)

I would actually support merging those two here. Redstar 15:00, 20 December 2009 (EST)
Thing is that Green Glove and Slugger both have officially confirmable names, while this article doesn't. The term "Baseball Boy" is, as far as I'm aware, conjectural, based on the English translation of a level title (the original Japanese title does not even refer to them by any collective term, simply listing them as "Mitto-san" (Green Glove) and "Batto-kun" (Slugger)). I see no reason to merge those two into a single article; they have different names, different appearances, different behaviours and don't even necessarily have to appear together.--vellidragon 15:12, 20 December 2009 (EST)
The two typically work in conjunction, and the level title does suggest a group title. I will continue to support a group article merge, if others do so as well, but I really don't like group articles with less than three additions. So, I support deleting this page unless anyone favors a merge. Redstar 15:28, 21 December 2009 (EST)

Is this page really necessary?

It's just a hub page for two enemies from Yoshi's Island on the basis of a level name. Pretty weak justification for a page, in my opinion. Niiue (talk) 04:18, 5 October 2015 (EDT)

I brought it up on the forums a while ago. The page is kind of a glorified disambiguation page, but it's based on an official term. I don't have a strong opinion one way or another, but if it was deleted, I wouldn't complain. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
