1-Up Mushrooms are green mushrooms that give whoever eats one an extra life.
In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, the 1-Up Mushroom revives Mario or Luigi with half of their HP if they run out. There is also a stronger variant called a 1-Up Super, which revives you with all of your HP.
1-up Mushrooms are said to be one of the rarest mushrooms and are usually very well hidden.
