Template:Level Ground Work[1] (Japanese: Hotte! Hotte! Horimakure!! (ほって!ほって!ほりまくれ!! Dig! Dig! Dig Through!!, unofficially known as Template:Conjecturaltext)) is an e-Reader level for Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3. The level contains four Advance Coins. It was originally only released in Japan, but became available internationally when the game was released on Virtual Console in 2016.
Layout
Mario begins this level at a desertic area containing four orange Warp Pipes and Jumping Piranha Plants. The third Pipe takes Mario to the inside of a cavern filled with soft earth that can be digged (originally from Super Mario Bros. 2).
This first part contains Buster Beetles and Ice Blocks, Vegetables and Monty Moles. After climbing down a rope, Mario reaches a vertical-scrolling room full of digging sand, Goombas and Porcupos, in addition to the first Advance Coin. Two Pipes are found at the end of this area: the left one takes the player to a room with another Advance Coin guarded by Koopa Paratroopas; and the right one leads them to another verical area, though Mario must climb up dodging more Goombas, Porcupos and now Spikes (which behave similar to Snifits in Super Mario Bros. 2). There is another Advance Coin. Climbing to the top, there is the final room of the cave, with more Buster Beetles, Goombas, Spikes and the last Advance Coin just after a Warp Pipe. Entering it, Mario is transported to the goal area, including two Chain Chomps and another Jumping Piranha Plant.
New Level Elements
- Porcupos
- Sand (from Super Mario Bros. 2)
