Mario and Pauline

The Saturday Supercade marked Mario's first appearance in an animated series. Produced by Ruby-Spears, it aired on CBS from 1983 to 1985 for two seasons. It featured animated segments based off of popular arcade games, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Q*Bert, Pitfall, Space Ace, Kangaroo, and Frogger. In the Donkey Kong segment, Mario had to rescue his neice, Pauline, from Donkey Kong.
