New Super Mario Bros. U -style Bumpers as seen in the trailer
Bumpers are a new object in Super Mario Maker introduced in the December 22nd update. It is obtained by shaking a Grinder. A Bumper works like a Grinder, except it's not harmful and instead bounces Mario off. In the New Super Mario Bros. U game theme, the look like Lemmy's rubber balls.
