This article's name should be "Fire Snake (Super Mario World)" just like Goomba (Super Mario World). The official English name is still Fire Snake. --Platform (talk) 22:09, 1 May 2013 (EDT)
- We should then move the page. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 22:19, 1 May 2013 (EDT)
- Fire Snake is probably an error. Like the Sledge Bros. being called Sumo Bros. Niiue - Who has lost his tail?
- Saying that it's an error is speculation. Marshal Dan Troop (talk).
- It's also "speculation" to say the Sumo Bro./Sledge Bro. error was an error. Niiue - Who has lost his tail?
- I highly doubt that it's an error. It was intentional like not giving SMW goombas a new name. Both the SNES and the Advance remake's guide call them Fire Snakes. It shows that Nintendo of America did not want to change the name even after 11 years had passed.--Platform (talk) 23:22, 3 May 2013 (EDT)
- Someone should email Nintendo. Niiue - Who has lost his tail?

- As far as I'm aware, the policy is to use the most recent official English name unless none is available, so I don't know why this would be at a non-English name to begin with if an English one exists. The template at the top likewise states that "If an official name from an English source is found, the article should be moved to its appropriate title". Would support a move.--vellidragon (talk) 15:52, 27 June 2013 (EDT)
