Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition is an upcoming Mario-themed puzzle game from the Puzzle & Dragons series, set to be released for the Nintendo 3DS.[1] It will be released in Japan on April 29, 2015. An overseas release was later confirmed[2], and announced during the January 2015 Nintendo Direct to be released with Puzzle & Dragons Z as Puzzle and Dragons Z + Puzzle and Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition, with a release date of May 2015.[3]

Story

Not much is known yet, but it traditionally involves Princess Peach being kidnapped by Bowser.[4] Bowser's minions also steal a collection of magical orbs, with the reason for their doing so being currently unknown.[5]

  • New Super Mario Bros. Wii: The Penguin suit transformation is used by Mario in this game. Several musical pieces that appear also originate from this game.
  • New Super Mario Bros. 2: The overview of the level selection is similar to the World 1 map.
  • New Super Mario Bros. U: Morton's airship has his face on it similar to this game. The desert world is also a mix of the desert overworld maps from New Super Mario Bros. 2 and this game.
