It is the first level of the game set in a Wild West-type background. As the name suggests, the level focuses mainly on [[Baby Peach]]'s ability to float on winds. Windblown Wilderness introduces numbered platforms, which lose a number every time you step on them and disappear after hitting 0. There are also ridable [[balloons]] which you can jump on, and they slowly float upwards. Two new enemies are introduced; the [[Gusty]] and the [[Lakitu]].

Windblown Wilderness is Level 2-3 of Yoshi's Island DS.

It is the first level of the game set in a Wild West-type background. As the name suggests, the level focuses mainly on Baby Peach's ability to float on winds. Windblown Wilderness introduces numbered platforms, which lose a number every time you step on them and disappear after hitting 0.
