Valor Up is a special move used by enemies and bosses in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars that increases one's physical and magical defense. To Mario and his allies, this means the battle is about to get a lot harder and a lot longer. The animation for the move is a blue column of light that surrounds the caster. Valor Up is often combined with Vigor Up, which increases attack power.
