The First Strike is a technique found in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. This technique is mentioned by Goompa as he quickly tells this tip to Mario. To do a First Strike on one of the enemies, Mario can simply Jump on the enemy or hitting it with a Hammer; depending if the enemy has spikes or not.
