Ok, so personally I think we should just base it completely on the clubs and nothing else, because we don't want people's opinions (like mine) getting in the way. If this is disagreed with, I would highly recommend leaving it white. - {{User:Ninelevendo/sig}} 02:52, 28 May 2014 (EDT)

==Character's Shot Trajectory==
There's an issue with the descriptions for each character's trajectory right now. Although the game only lists each character's shot trajectory as Straight, Fade, or Draw, depending on the direction, unaccounted for right now is the intensity of the angle the trajectory moves at. This is definitely represented in-game, though, with the color of the arrow signifying the level of the degree. Shot trajectory does have variable degrees in real golf too, but you can see it for east example my comparing the draw of say Daisy to Donkey Kong. His is much farther. The arrows for the trajectory are green, yellow, and orange depending on the level of the trajectory's degree. The problem was coming to an agreement on what words to use to signify these. I tried Light, Medium, and Heavy, as was used in past golf installments like Toadstool Tour, but it was pointed out these were confusing or something. So I'm now wanting suggestions on what would be good to describe this, as every character is different, so this is just as important as what to call the trajectory in the first place. I was thinking Regular, Moderate, Strong, something along those lines. Whatever sounds nicest and makes the most sense. June 23

My pal told me it was coming out June 23.

Hi! I'm Electrical Bowser jr.!

Unfortunately, that's not how things go around these parts. We'd rather get confirmation from Nintendo themselves when the game itself is scheduled for release, then make the necessary changes accordingly. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 12:42, 25 March 2013 (EDT)

Desert Course

The desert course is actually a Daisy course, as can be seen with the cacti having her crown on them. TomBoy (talk) 00:46, 21 May 2013 (EDT)

Interestingly, it appears the crown is actually Peach's; if you consider the cacti facing the screen, then the red part of the crown faces the front, like Peach's. MarioComix (talk) 00:23, 22 May 2013 (EDT)
The crown is facing inward, and besides, both Peach and Daisy's crowns have red jewels on the side, and as I pointed out, those are Daisy's green flower jewels on them. TomBoy (talk) 00:48, 22 May 2013 (EDT)
He is right, the cacti has Daisy's crown. However it is better to wait confirmation. Sprite of Princess Daisy from Mario Party: Star Rush Cirdec (talk) 15:48, 1 June 2013 (EDT)
I'll have to agree with Cirdec, it has Daisy's crown, but let's wait until it is confirmed. APA TKB Umbreon, from Pokémon.

Boxart

I saw the boxart with Mario, Koopa, Wario, Luigi, and Waluigi. The characters don't look ripped out of a previous game, either. Is it a fan boxart?

Hi! I'm Electrical Bowser jr.!

I'd hate to say it, as much as it would be great for box art right now, it is most likely fan art. Nintendo usually reviles the box art on either there site or through Nintendo direct. - Cubeguy2ver.pngCubeguy(talk)

Customization with Mii

Shouldn't we include the Mii equipment in the article, like Mario Tennis Open? We know things like. Yoshi Clubs, Birdo Clubs, Diddy Kong hat & Wario Ball are in the clubhouse, so shouldn't we make an article bout it? - Ninelevendo, the Blue Lightning! (talk)

I've added some information, you can check the edit history for what I've had to say about it. However, it's not exactly pretty-looking at the moment. MarioComix (talk) 03:12, 2 March 2014 (EST)

Thanks, it's all I wanted. Some pics & more info would be nice, but it's good enough. Thanks for effort. - Ninelevendo, the Blue Lightning! (talk)

According to an image here, Luigi Clubs, Wario Clubs, Waluigi Clubs & Daisy Clubs are available. http://www.ign.com/images/games/mario-golf-world-tour-3ds-160547/52fd840ef4b4064a06dc3af8 - Ninelevendo, the Blue Lightning! (talk)

Gameplay wise, Power Shots, approach shots, the ability to change clubs, wind & the control bar are back. Also, the course seems more Yarn Yoshi like than Yoshi's Story. And DK has a draw. mario_golf_yarn_yoshi.jpg And this image, if you look at the power bar, if Yoshi were to hit at full power, it would hit the green, as indicated by the grass patch.

Mario Ball?

Where did the Mario Ball come from? I've seen the DK ball in the latest direct, but I haven't seen a Mario Ball. Speculation? - Ninelevendo, the Blue Lightning! (talk)

Link Help

Can someone put this link for the Peach Mii items. I can't work it out. Can u please show me? Link: http://www.gamekult.com/jeux/image-mario-golf-world-tour-J3050115120-ME3050230198i.html - Ninelevendo, the Blue Lightning! (talk)

I believe I've fixed it. Yoshi876 (talk)
Thanks. I'm getting close to learning it. - Ninelevendo, the Blue Lightning! (talk)

May 1, 2014

Hello. This references (IGN and Nintendo Japan official website) say that Mario Golf World Tour was to be released on 1 May 2014. I say this because I do not have sufficient privileges to edit this page. Thank you.

The Nintendo Japan official website (Nintendo 3DS section) say this:

Original:

マリオゴルフ ワールドツアー 2014年5月1日

Translated:

Mario Golf World Tour May 1, 2014

--77.228.198.87 10:40, 8 March 2014 (EST)

In that case, the Japense Release date should be different. I'll do that. Thanks for the info. - Ninelevendo, the Blue Lightning! (talk)

Toad?

I honestly don't think he is playable, and the evidence is written in a different language with absolutely no images whatsoever. Can someone tell me if it's actually true? - Ninelevendo's Sig Image 19:54, 13 April 2014 (EDT) I used google translate, and it says that toad is playable, but I don't know if that site has proof for itself. - Ninelevendo's Sig Image 19:58, 13 April 2014 (EDT)

Removed the information because the source isn't valid. It's a blog page from a fansite; that doesn't confirm anything. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 20:00, 13 April 2014 (EDT)
Apparently the info is from a Japanese magazine, but still haven't found any evidence. - Ninelevendo's Sig Image 20:01, 13 April 2014 (EDT)
Absence of other evidence (like a screenshot), otherwise, doesn't make the source valid, so it should be removed. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 20:04, 13 April 2014 (EDT)

Demo

I just got the Demo, so how do I use it as a source? - Ninelevendo's Sig Image 17:44, 17 April 2014 (EDT)

April 17 press release - course names confirmed?

In this Nintendo press release, describing the community feature: "Want to slow down the wind on golf courses like DK Jungle, Bowser’s Castle and Sky Island?" Does this confirm the names for the DKCR and Bowser courses currently mentioned in our article, as well as a new course? I hesitate because all of the other sources I've seen mention something like "six Mario World Courses and [...] three balanced Castle Club Courses" (quote from official North American MGWT site), and there are already nine courses accounted for. Anyone know what's going on here? --Steve470 (talk) 04:18, 18 April 2014 (EDT)

Some further searching brought me to this picture, and while I can't read the text, those three images at the bottom sure look like real screenshots of a course that could easily be called Sky Island. I did notice that it shows holes 1 and 3 of that course, both of which are par 3s. It seems possible that this is a par 3 course (like Congo Canopy in Toadstool Tour), which could explain why they wouldn't count it in the main course total. Still, I'll hold off on editing the article until I get someone else's thoughts. --Steve470 (talk) 04:49, 18 April 2014 (EDT)
Hmmm, I think DK Jungle and Bowser's Castle aren't really proof enough yet, but your right about there being different Club Castle Courses. We can put 'Sky Land-esque course with similarities to cloud worlds' or something on those lines. - Ninelevendo's Sig Image 05:57, 18 April 2014 (EDT)

I got the game

What can I add to the article? Rosalina's Luma (talk) 05:45, 2 May 2014 (EDT)

You'll have to wait until you're auto confirmed. - Ninelevendo's Sig Image 17:16, 2 May 2014 (EDT)

Is anyone going to make a page for the Castle Club mode?

I mean, I would but I just got my account three minutes ago and don't know how.
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Toadbrigade5 (talk).

It'll be created in due time, don't worry. Yoshi876 (talk)
We don't really need to, it can just be San article. - Ninelevendo's Sig Image 19:40, 11 May 2014 (EDT)

Star Characters

When I got my first star character, I noticed their sweet spot and distance stat lowered. This didn't happen in Toadstool Tour when it came to star characters.. I think. What's up with that? UhHuhAlrightDaisy (talk) 20:20, 13 May 2014 (EDT)

In Toadstool Tour, their Impact stat (equivalent to Sweet Spot) went down, but in this game their Control also goes down. Meanwhile, the Spin stat got removed completely (but whether or not it exists hidden within the game is not known). MarioComix (talk) 20:52, 13 May 2014 (EDT)
Wait, did you just say that the power went down? - Ninelevendo's Sig Image 01:16, 14 May 2014 (EDT)
The Impact stat in Toadstool Tour refers to the Impact Zone, aka the Sweet Spot. Though the driving yardage would go up. MarioComix (talk) 22:04, 14 May 2014 (EDT)

Rosalina's non-Star Drive confirmed?

According to this picture, looks like she's going to have the second longest drive, and has a fade to her shot. Could be early, but who knows. Also, not sure if the Japanese Yard calculation is different from the US version's, but I doubt it.ShadowMario3 (talk) 12:27, 15 May 2014 (EDT)

Good spotting. I'll add that immediately. - Ninelevendo's Sig Image 18:21, 15 May 2014 (EDT)

Character Page Colours

Ok, so personally I think we should just base it completely on the clubs and nothing else, because we don't want people's opinions (like mine) getting in the way. If this is disagreed with, I would highly recommend leaving it white. - Ninelevendo's Sig Image 02:52, 28 May 2014 (EDT)
