Why buy gossip tabloids about your favorite character when you can see these for free?

5-Volt

5-Volt is 9-Volt's mother and makes a few appearances in the WarioWare series. She is never fully seen until Game & Wario, and judging from what is seen of her, she is a human like her son.

Antasma

Antasma is an evil bat "king" (giving himself the King title).

Trivia

  • Antasma and Swooper are both bats. Whether they are related or not is unknown.

Baby Birdo

Baby Birdo

Baby Birdo is the baby form of Birdo. Baby Birdo has yet to appear in any Mario games. She is one of the only babies not to be a star child. She looks extremely similar to her older self, except for her personal bow. Birdo.jpg A photograph of the current appearance of Baby Birdo.

Baby Luigi

History

The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3

"Toddler Terrors of Time Travel"
Baby Mario Bros.
Baby Mario and Baby Luigi.

Baby Mario and Baby Luigi appeared in an episode of The great adventure of Mario 2, "Toddler Terrors of Time Travel". In this episode, Yoshi and Kooky von Koopa attempted to use Kooky's Time Travel Tube to go back in time to Brooklyn and stop the X-men. from getting transported to the habbo Hotel via going through a teleporter disguised as a bathtub they were fixing. The current day Mario Bros. attempt to stop them, by following Koopa and Kooky through to Habbo. However, due to a glitch in the Teleport Travel Tube, everyone on board is turned gay. Baby Toad however manages to retrieve the Tube after it is fixed and turn himself and the Mario Bros. back to Habbo. The Mario Bros. and Toad later stop Yoshi's scheme.

Character Description

Physical Description

Baby Luigi is very similar to Baby Toad. Both have a reputation of being quite "gay". He also has a thin layer of brown hair always covered by his trademark "L" hat. The only major difference between Baby Mario and Toad is that Toad is obviously an alien mushroom, while Baby Luigi wears a green shirt and green hat. Also, Baby Luigi's sneakers are green and Toad hates sneakers.

("Sooner or later Baby Rosalina will come")

("Guess what.") - Sticklyman (talk)

(Later recreated as the following):

Baby Rosalina is the baby version of galaxy princess, Rosalina. She hasn't been in very many games. Her most famous appearance is in Diaper Duty 2: The Eggs. Baby Rosalina appears in the Super Baby Partners Squad game. She helps Baby Mario & Baby Luigi rescue Baby Peach & Baby Daisy from Baby Bowser by giving them special abilities and a few hints. She becomes a playable character after the game is completed.

Games she appears in:
Diaper Duty 2: the eggs
Diaper Duty 3: Baby Peach's turn to shine
Diaper Duty 4: Piranha Plant storms
Diaper Duty 5: Koopa Kid Gets Mad
Diaper Duty 6: Baby Birdo is born

Beanbean Guard

Beanbean Guards are shown to not be very bright as they do not know of the many things the Mario Bros. tells them (Princess Peach, Chuckola Reserve, etc.). They also do not seem to be very powerful or good at their job, as they are beaten by Fawful numerous times.

(At least they're good at reflecting on Toads from the Mushroom Kingdom, there's a positive. Tails777 (talk))

Blue Toad (character)

Mario Party 9 reveals the more joyful side of Blue Toad's character[...]

("So what's the other side of Blue Toad's character?")

("More joyful than a sack of bricks I assume")

("I'm sure that when it comes to any Toad, the joyful side is the only side." Tails777 (talk))

Brown Yoshi

Due to the absence of Brown Yoshis in recent games, and with the prevailance of Orange Yoshis instead, many consider Brown Yoshi and Orange Yoshi to be one and the same. Of course, it's also possible that Brown Yoshis are simply endangered.

("Mushroom Kingdom's most prestigious environmentalists blame habitat destruction and over-hunting." LeftyGreenMario (talk))

It's[sic] appearances usually take place in the past and are almost never seen in the modern day, implying that they've become extinct or at least critically endangered.

("Remember, every life you lose in a Yoshi game is another step towards extinction. Only you can save the Brown Yoshi." Vommack (talk))

Bowser

Common sense

Bowser's plans are also sometimes complicated in themselves and involve numerous crimes such as abduction, theft, robbery, terrorism, abuse, harrassment, blackmail, arson, destruction, numerous attempts of mass murder, minion facilitation, child endangerment, assault, and even acts such as frame-up, fraud, and identity theft as evident in Super Mario Sunshine.

(Anybody else see several redundant things in this entry?) Mr. Game & Watch (talk)

(Nah, I'm pretty sure the redundancy is to ensure that little wimps like Ganondorf cower and cry for their aunties.) LeftyGreenMario (talk)

(The christ is "minon facilitation", anyway?)

Emotions

Artwork of Bowser in Super Mario 64 DS (also used in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games)
Bowser is usually portrayed as angry and remorseless.

While Bowser has been shown from pure relentless evil to a comical villain, there have been hardly any instances where Bowser has shown any form of emotion other than anger or hatred. Bowser has never shown any remorse for his actions, which have led to numerous atrocities and caused much destruction from the Mushroom Kingdom all the way to the outer reaches of the universe. Bowser also seems to lack sympathy and has disregard for any form of life. Bowser's many attacks on the Mushroom Kingdom could have easily taken many lives, but Bowser has never shown any remorse when doing these attacks, only focusing on obtaining power and ruling the Mushroom Kingdom with Peach at his side. In Paper Mario, Mario's defeat at the hands of Bowser, to which Bowser mockingly laughed at, could be considered murder as he is only able to rise up after the combined energy of the Star Spirits. In Super Paper Mario, Bowser has shown to have no problems killing his own minions when they attack. He has even on occasions abducted infants to fulfill his nefarious goal of conquest and did not care in the least for their well being. Perhaps Bowser's biggest demonstration for disregard for other lives is in Super Mario Galaxy, where his plot was to wipe out entire galaxies to create a cosmos he can control.

Bowser (Super Mario Galaxy Boss)

Template:GBoss-infobox Template:LLQuote

Bowser was a Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 boss, just like nearly every other Mario game. In Super Mario Galaxy, Bowser stole some Power Stars and Grand Stars from Rosalina and her Luma friends. Therefore, Rosalina told Mario (or Luigi) to get them back. So you had to fight Bowser for it. That's how he became a boss.

Diddy Kong

return of the werdos

The old render of Diddy Kong.Diddy Kong first appeared in revenge of the werdos the last donkeyDonkey Kong Country, here he was still Donkey Kong's apprentice and an in-training video-game star. Wanting to humor an over eager Diddy, but diddy got mad at dk and banished him from the jungle forever Donkey decided to let Diddy guard his Banana Hoard. Unfortunately, when DK assigned this duty to Diddy he hadn't expected the Kremling Krew to attack. Unable to hold off an attack by a Krusha, Diddy was sealed in a barrel. The next morning Donkey awoke and, realizing his bananas were missing, he found and released Diddy and the two set off to reclaim them and drive the Kremlings off of Donkey Kong Island. Eventually Donkey and Diddy managed to defeat King K. Rool and the Kremling Krew.

werdoland 2 diddys distruction

Disaster soon struck in werdo land 2 diddys distruction, when the Kremling Krew kidnapped Donkey Kong burned him in a fire took diddy with him when he did it then burned his face and whisked him away to their own island, werdo Isle. K. werd threatened to never return Donkey Kong unless he was given the mario of Banana crack, which Diddy agrese to give because all the trouble that he and Donkey Kong went through to help him in the previous game. It was up to Diddy and werdo sqad to venture through werdo Isle and dystroy Donkey Kong withKaptain K. Rool. Near the end of werdo land 2 diddys dystruction, Donkey Kong was dystroyed by Diddy and the werdo squad and werdo Isle sank them to the ocean.

("These edits are weird")

Donkey Kong Jr.

One of Donkey Kong Jr.'s alternate colour schemes in Mario Tennis, for the Nintendo 64, gives him pink fur, making him identical to the Pink Donkey Kong Jr. It is not known if this pink Donkey Kong Jr. is meant to be the Pink Donkey Kong Jr. of Donkey Kong Jr. Math, or simply a form of the actual Donkey Kong Jr.; the resemblance between the characters of the two games may even be a coincidence.

("If only Nintendo devoted a year to this underappreciated character to clear things up...")

Donkey Kong

Donkey Kong Country Wii

Donkey Kong Country Wii is a video game in development by Rare and Nintendo (collectively called "DK Wii") for the Wii. It was announced by Nintendo of America president and CEO Reggie Fils-Aime and a trailer was briefly shown during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2009. The game features 3D side-scrolling gameplay. Fils-Aime stated that Donkey Kong Country Wii would "take you deeper into Kong's story," and also noted that the game would be a return to the style of the traditional series as opposed to the Konga series, though the game will have you fighting Template:Fakelink and his army of Kremlings and the new main villain of the series Emperor Wart. It is scheduled for release in 2011.

("Why was this part of the Donkey Kong article?")

  • Although usually faster than Bowser, Donkey Kong appeared as the slower character in Mario Super Sluggers. Why Bowser had the higher running stat in that game is unknown.

-("Donkey Dude has been scarfing too much bananas, obviously. It's also the same reason we had a drought in Donkey Kong Country games at the time since nobody was stealing Donkey Kong's aforementioned bananas.")

Dorrie

Super Mario 64

The first known Dorrie from Super Mario 64 lives in an underground lake in the Hazy Maze Cave. He spends his days swimming in circles, but will gladly give Mario a ride if he gets on his back. It is also possible to steer Dorrie by carefully climbing up onto his head; Mario will lose control of movement for a moment, then the player can control Dorrie by facing the direction they want to go in. Ground Pounding on his head will cause him to lower his neck, making this task easier. A sign near the lake in which he takes residence states that he might eat visitors if they get too close, although he otherwise proves to be a harmless creature. Apparently, Dorrie is a Plesiosaur, possessing a rather younger complexsion.

Dry Bowser

[...]This may be because his transformation pushed his anger and hatred of Mario to the extremes, possibly completely corrupting himself. In other words, Bowser's mean to the bone.[...]

Dry Bowser's personality is similar to his living counterpart, Bowser. He is a cruel and ruthless villain, and his roar is even more terrifying than the living Bowser's.

Emoglobin

  • Emoglobins may be emo, which their name confirms.

False Bowser

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, a False Bowser is the Shadow Bug copy of Bowser. False Bowser makes his first appearance without warning at The Lake almost seemingly at random. After Fox and Diddy Kong defeat him, he dissolves. He is seen several more times throughout the game, antagonizing the other heroes. Though evil, he fights exactly like Bowser.

("Isn't Bowser already evil to begin with?")

Fawful

Template:Character-infobox

("That circle is wonderful")

Personality

Fawful's extreme rage makes him a psychopath, often harming others without cause or sympathy ("Finally! Now is the time where my true might shines, like many angry sunbeams of rage!"). Fawful only cares for Cackletta in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and frantically helps her when she is not hurt, but ignores her when she is hurt. Yet, Fawful's speech prior to his final battle against Mario and Luigi reveals that he's very disturbed at how it was his genius that allowed Cackletta to live on while he remains a lackey and lets her obtain all the power and glory. This was apparently the start of Fawful's true lust for greater power and gratification, having had enough of serving others and allowing his genius to be used for their own gains and not getting anything back in return, not even recognition.

Fawful delights in taunting his enemies before obliterating them ("Your lives that I spit on are now but a caricature of a cartoon drawn by a kid who is stupid!"). Fawful is quite deranged, he has several megalomaniac desires, and aspires to create great chaos in the world. He lusts for the ultimate dark power and does not care for the consequences that it would bring to the rest of the world, willing to let it be plunged into endless chaos with millions of lives being consumed by his warped desires.

Fawful is also arguably the most self-absorbed villain in the series, building statues in his honor wherever he goes, hosting shows about him, speaking of himself in third person in honor, constantly making speeches on his genius, and even giving his army his own likeness. To further show off his image, Fawful created several Fawful merchandise sold to his minions, and even made some of his minions look like him (such as "Fawful Guy").

(Did you know Fawful is grimdark? Me neither.)

Grodus

Trivia

  • Grodus is possibly a cybernetic sorcerer, granting him an ability to use a combination of magic and technology.

Harry Blackstone Jr.

Harry Blackstone Jr. (June 30, 1934 – May 14, 1997) (occasionally shortened to simply Blackstone) is a famous, currently deceased magician who has appeared in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!.[...]

("When will he be alive again?")

Herman Smirch

Because of the series' early cancellation, the truth about Smirch's misadventures was never truly revealed - that he had merely hallucinated Tatanga, Daisy, and Mario coming out, and none of it was happening at all.

Kamek

File:KamekNSMBW.png Kamek is a high ranking Magikoopa in the Koopa Troop. Kamek has cared for Bowser since he was a child. Kamek's first appearance was in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island where he foresaw that two babies born that night would cause great trouble for the Koopa Troop. Kamek captured one of them, Baby Luigi, but failed to find the other one, Baby Mario. Kamek continued to serve Bowser for many years, trying to kidnap Mario & Luigi, but failing. Kamek is also a leader of his own group known as the Toadies, who follow Kamek's every whim. Kamek also made an appearance in the spin-off game, Mario Party DS, once again serving as Bowser's Acolyte. Somehow, he has managed to appear again in New Super Mario Bros. Wii as he continues to assist the Koopalings and Bowser.

super mario 63

kamek plays a impotent role in the online remake of super mario 64 super mario 63. kamek is the companion of bowser and eventually betrays bowser and goes of on his own. at his castle mario must battle a magical bully to get a red shine sprite and go unlock a room in the attic. and helps mario save princes peach at the end of the game.

"(It shouldn't take a lot for Mario to take down an impotent bully.)" -LeftyGreenMario (talk)

Personality

Kamek is a character that is devoted to Bowser; he does what his master wishes, without question. This means that if Bowser gives an order, no matter how ridiculous or difficult, Kamek will follow it. In addition, Kamek views Bowser like a son to him, as evidenced by his psychopath quote "That's... my child?" in reference to Bowser. He is also very evil, formulating diabolical schemes with little thought as to how they will affect innocent people, such as kidnapping the Baby Mario brothers and attempting to destroy his enemies without a second's hesitation and instead a feeling of joy (apparent in his speeches to the Yoshis before setting one of his monsters on them).

(I like how some of those try-hard personality sections tries to put on a air of intensity and sophistication, even with such poor content. "The bad guy is very evil, making bad things which are very not good and that without any feeling of goodness.")

King Boo

History

Luigi's Mansion

Artwork of King Boo from Luigi's Mansion
The Luigi's Mansion artwork of King Boo escaping from his damaged Bowser suit. ("And people will be totally clueless if this caption wasn't here.")

Prior to the events of Luigi's Mansion, the ghost hunter Professor E. Gadd, had managed to capture Boolossus, one of the biggest and strongest Boos in King Boo's forces. Of course, this had greatly angered the Boo leader, and the ghost orchestrates a rescue attempt. Meanwhile, Professor E. Gadd brings Boolossus to his lab in Boo Woods. Using a special device called a Ghost Portrificationizer, E. Gadd seals Boolossus in a portrait and hangs the new piece of art in his Gallery.

Eventually, King Boo and his forces attack the laboratory ("Forces? Looks like they just ransacked the place."). The Boos reverse the settings of the Portificationizer and release Boolossus from his portrait prison ("Isn't E. Gadd supposed to be the good guy?"). King Boo, in an act of revenge, then orders that all the ghosts that E. Gadd had captured in his travels should be freed as well. After releasing all of the portrait ghosts and reversing years and years ("And years and years and years.") of E. Gadd's work, King Boo magically creates a huge mansion out of thin air ("Can anything be more clichéd than this?"), and places it right next to the professor's lab. The Boo leader, his Boo minions, and the portrait ghosts recently freed from their prisons ("Oooh, I'm surprised nobody put 'liberated'."), decide to inhabit the mansion. With a new place to haunt and an army of new ghosts courtesy of released portrait ghost Vincent Van Gore, King Boo decides to enact a new scheme. With his newfound resources, King Boo creates a plan of revenge against old rivals of the Boos. King Boo devises a plan to capture both Mario and Luigi, the defenders of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Hoping to recapture Luigi, King Boo sends the plumber a letter. The message states that Luigi had won a mansion in a contest and provides the location of the prize. Of course, Luigi is skeptical of such a reward, as he does not recall entering any contest; however, he is excited nonetheless. He asks his brother Mario to investigate the mansion, and said he would arrive shortly thereafter. As such, Mario, along with Toad, ventured to the mansion. Unfortunately ("Wait, who is the 'good guy'?"), Mario is instantly overwhelmed by King Boo's forces and is captured. King Boo then imprisons the great hero of the Mushroom Kingdom ("Sadly for him, his contributions as a plumber go unnoticed.") in a portrait, just like the Boo leader's minion Boolossus was previously. The imprisoned Mario is placed in the Secret Altar in the basement of the mansion. Of course, King Boo wishes to add another painting to his collection: the portrait of Luigi.

While waiting for the arrival of Luigi, King Boo and his Boo minions decide to rest behind a secret door in the floor of the Storage Room. When Luigi arrives in the room, and reveals the secret door, the Boos spring out from the floor, enraged after being awakened from their slumber. However, the Boos (including King Boo) break off their surprise attack ("Wait, that was their surprise attack!?") when they notice the Poltergust 3000 on Luigi's back. The special ghost-capturing weapon was previously given to Luigi by Professor E. Gadd, who wants the plumber to recapture the portrait ghosts. The Poltergust 3000 is one of the few things King Boo fears, and he, along with the other Boos, fly off in different directions and hide in the mansion. The Boo leader himself travels to the Secret Altar in the mansion's basement. While in the protected room, King Boo amuses himself by watching Mario's pathetic pleas for help. ("Like a little mewing kitty. What a loser.")

The path to the Secret Altar is locked by a special key in the possession of Vincent Van Gore, who has locked himself in the Artist's Studio on the third floor of the mansion. After capturing the ghost and retrieving the key, Luigi discovers that he needs more than a key to access King Boo's lair. If the green-clad ghost hunter ("A.K.A. The green clad ghost buster".) attempts to enter the Secret Altar without catching a certain number of Boos, King Boo himself would materialize before Luigi and blow the plumber away to the Foyer, the entrance of the mansion. However, since King Boo's power was directly related to the number of Boos in the mansion, Luigi could weaken the Boo leader by capturing the Boos hidden in the various rooms. After Luigi captures at least forty of the mansion's fifty Boos, King Boo would lose his ability to blow the ghost hunter away from the Secret Altar. As such, with his Poltergust 3000 in hand, Luigi enters King Boo's lair and prepares for a final showdown. ("Note: Future showdowns in Mario kart, sports, and in a painting in a courtyard in Peach's castle are not included.")

Template:Portrait-infobox Upon entering the altar, Luigi notices King Boo staring at his most prized possession: the Mario painting. However, King Boo turns to Luigi and states his desire to complete his set and add a Luigi painting to the collection ("Wario and Waluigi are disgustingly excluded."). After saying this, King Boo flies into the Mario painting hanging on the wall. Strangely, the figure of Mario transforms into the form of Bowser, and the new Bowser painting inhales Luigi into the canvas. After entering the painting, Luigi is transported into a strange arena that resembles the mansion's roof. The green-clad hero is in for an even bigger shock when none other than the colossal form of Bowser appears before him. In reality, this isn't really Bowser, but King Boo is inside the mecha decoy of the hulking beast, secretly piloting it from behind the scenes. ("Redundant writing sucks, but at least it looks flashy!")

King Boo uses this Bowser disguise to attack the heroic Luigi, shooting flames at the green-clad plumber, and even attempting to inhale Luigi into its mouth ("Where else can you inhale?"). The decoy also possesses the ability to create three large spiked bombs out of thin air, and toss the explosives at Luigi. The hero knew he had to fight back, and used his Poltergust 3000 to pull in one of the spiked explosives and release it into the beast's mouth ("It's a mecha robot, genius."). The result of this attack blasts off the head of the mechanical Bowser decoy, knocking King Boo out of its body. Exposed to the power of the Poltergust 3000, Luigi begins to deplete the ghost's five hundred hit points. Unfortunately, the machine's head would hover around the arena and shoot ice blasts at Luigi (by means of King Boo's magic) ("Oh, really? And why would this be so unfortunate for King Boo and the machine?"). If frozen, Luigi could shake himself free from the icy prison. He would have to be quick, as he took damage every second he was frozen. ("Wait a minute, are we in Luigi's article or King Boo's article?") Eventually, King Boo would fly back into the dormant Bowser body and the head would reattach itself, resuming the fight and piloting it again. Luigi repeats the same process, slowly weakening the ghost, but after King Boo's life fell below two hundred HP, the head of the machine would reattach backwards whenever he returned to the Bowser body, causing the Bowser mecha to run around aimlessly, destroying everything in its path ("Except for the structure they are fighting atop."). Eventually, the mecha would put its head on correctly and resume the fight.

After a long and difficult battle, Luigi manages to completely drain King Boo's HP and capture the ghost leader inside the Poltergust 3000. Without the presence of King Boo, the Bowser mech collapses powerlessly onto the ground with its head detached from its body.

After the battle, Luigi picks up King Boo's crown, worth 5000G (the value of only one Gold Coin) and adds it to his treasure collection. Upon returning to the mansion, the green-clad ghost hunter ("And he won't become one again until ten years later.") also picks up the Mario painting and quickly travels back to Professor E. Gadd's lab. In the lab, Luigi connects the Poltergust to the professor's Portrificationizer, dumping its ghostly contents into the machine. Surprisingly, not only did the spirit of King Boo appear in the Portrificationizer, but what appeared to be the Bowser mech also materialized. With King Boo captured and imprisoned, Professor E. Gadd hangs his new portrait in the most elegant room of his gallery. In the end, Mario is finally released from his portrait and Luigi emerges from his adventure a true hero. ("Poor King Boo this whole time really just wanted to doodle on Mario's and Luigi's face.")

(This is probably one of Luigi's unused stories for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. -BabyLuigiOnFire (talk))

King K. Rool

K. Rool's greatest weakness is his own incompetence. It's very common for him to be defeated, simply because he keeps repeating his mistakes in a fight, such as in Donkey Kong Country, when he keeps throwing his crown, allowing Donkey and Diddy to jump on his head, and in Donkey Kong 64, where his constant showboating also gives the Kongs an opening to attack.

(so he's a video game boss)

Koopa Kid

Additionally, a certain Koopa Kid shopkeeper ran an unethical Item Shop in the Bowser Land, where players were forced into buying random items.

List of implied characters

Meatball

Meatball was omly mentioned in the Super Mario World television series episode Mama Luigi. When Yoshi eats Mario, he says that he knows how Meatball feels. Meatball is never mentioned again.

("Uh, meatball as in food..." - YoshiKong (talk))

Princess Peach's mother

Princess Peach's mother has yet to appear in person. She was referenced by Princess Peach in Super Mario Bros.: Peach-hime Kyushutsu Dai Sakusen. According to the princess, her mother had given her the Visionary Jewel from the Country of Treasure (possibly as a gift.) She also mentions that her mother had passed away prior to the events of the film. Her political position in Mushroom Kingdom government and her relationship with Peach's father, King Toadstool, are not explored. Princess Peach's mother is unknown but most likely alive.

("Well, that's reassuring."YoshiKong (talk))

Lucas

[...]Lucas may be related to Snufit Ball, as the first part of the names start with the "oo" sound. Whether Miyamoto planned this, or if it is just a weird coincidence.[...]

Luigi

[...] ...Most fans are pretty sure that Luigi hates King Boo a lot because of Boos seem to be his worst fear or the fact that King Boo captured Mario. [...]

[...]When Luigi uses his Final Smash, the Negative Zone, it sounds like Luigi says, "hell". This may be one hint that Luigi has a really depressing life. [...]

[...] Toad had really good terms with Luigi for a very long time. He gives him special items in Luigi's Mansion. Luigi and Toadette are actually secretly dating.[...]

Luigi is a crybaby like Baby Mario from Yoshi's Island series.

"(At least Baby Mario has an excuse to be a crybaby because... well... he is a baby.)"

When speaking, he talks in a strong italian accent like his brother (except in Mario Strikers Charged, where he speaks in a Spanish accent)

"(¡Ándale, hermano Mario! ¡Ándale! Maybe the flamenco music got into his brain.)"

Luma

(Luma starred (no pun intended) in the box cover of both those games, so it is perfectly natural to assume he played a minor role! -BabyLuigiOnFire (talk))

  • If the player replays the "Grand Star Rescue" level after they have played through it for the first time, Mario will retain his ability to spin and Luma will briefly hover over his head and then go back into his cap again like he always does, despite the fact that by replaying the level, he has technically not befriended Luma yet, and so should not be able to spin yet. The rest of the level remains the same though, so when Mario chases Luma as a Star Bunny and Luma turns back into himself after Mario catches him, the player can actually see Luma in two places at once if they spin when Mario is next to Luma, causing Luma to hover over his head while simultaneously appearing on the Starting Planet as well.

The following two images are a commentary made by a former administrator on the very poor state of the Mario page circa 2010.

A commentary of the Mario page.

A commentary of the Mario page.

Paper Mario

Mario
Mario in his more "paper-like" form. ("It doesn't look paper-like to me. Unless you count the cute dotted eyes and the thick black outline."

Mario once again is invited to Princess Peach's Castle during the events of Paper Mario. However, this time Mario is invited to a party in the castle.("What an amazing twist!") Mario had rushed to the castle, made his way through the bustling party guests, and was chatting with Princess Peach in the throne room. However, Bowser usurps the castle, bringing it high in the air. He and Kammy Koopa break in to the castle through the window and using the power of the Star Rod, defeats Mario. He then tosses Mario out of the shattered window. Mario lands in a small forest located on the outskirts of Goomba Village. Goombas, being a proficient enemy in many of his quests, surprises Mario with their hospitality ("Mario's shortsightedness sadly disgusted a few Goombas."). Mario gives his many thanks and heads back to Toad Town via Goomba Road, together with the Goomba's families ("It's family's") eldest child, the young adventurer Goombario.

Mario hears a Star Spirit called Eldstar asking for his help. The Star Spirit requests that he speak to him on Shooting Star Summit, in which he has more strength to speak better. Once there, Mario meets many other Star Spirits asking for his help ("Stop it with the repetition of asking for help."). He learns that Bowser had imprisoned them in special cards and has given them to his strongest minions. Mario then sets out on a quest in search of the Star Spirits. Mario makes many new friends and partners on his long grueling journey ("Just like 100% this game!") and eventually collects all seven Star Spirits. Mario returns to Shooting Star Summit where he gains access to Star Way. Mario acquiers ("Acquires") a new ability called Star Beam and is transported to Bowser's Castle from the Star Shrine. While Mario and his team are at Bowser's Castle, they save the many prisoners and fight Bowser at the top of the castle.

Using his dirty tactics ("Like calling Mario fat."), Bowser breaks all routes of escape and uses his Star Rod to fight. Mario and the team cannot defeat Bowser while he is using the Star Rod, so they instead use Star Beam to weaken his power. The reluctant Bowser is unaffected by it and shakes the beam's power off ("Nice use of the word reluctant. I saw Bowser laughing evilly at this part of the fight."). Watching the team's defeat ("Watch out, the next part of this fight is tough."), Peach asks the people of the Mushroom Kingdom to help Mario and his friends fight through their wishes. Twink helps her convey this message of hope through her wish and suddenly Mario wakes up from his fainted status ("Using up a Life Shroom..."). He recovers all of his health, and learns a new upgraded version of the Star Beam called Peach Beam. Mario and company, fresh and ready to go, face Bowser to round two. Mario shoots the Peach Beam at Bowser, leaving him defenseless and ready for a fair fight. Mario and his friends defeat the evil Bowser ("Using a Star Rod doesn't exactly score evil points, though.") and once again save the Mushroom Kingdom. The castle returns to ground from where it came from and another party is held there later. The power of wishes is restored and once again the Mushroom Kingdom is saved by Mario and company. ("Mushroom Kingdom is saved twice in one action!") After a parade led by Luigi, Mario takes Peach to his place where they watch the fire works ("Which is one word. Or they meant working.").

("You can find more tidbits of this crap, although it's not as numerous, in the plot synopsis of Paper Mario, which is also a featured article, by the time of this writing.") LeftyGreenMario (talk)

Marth

Interestingly, when Marth uses Counter, he will say "Soko da", which translates to "There it is". This means he has found an opening to attack, and there it is.

Mean Woody

Mean Woody is the evil version of Woody who appears in Mario Party 3. He lives in Woody Woods near Woody.

("Mean Woody would mean Mean Wooden Woody Woods.")

Merlumia

After conversing some more about Watchitt, Merlumina told another long story, and, for the first time in Paper Mario history, she indeed caught Mario sleeping and threw a fit about it (calling Mario selfish and insensible above all else).

Metal Mario (character)

Unlike Mario, Metal Mario often plays the role of Mario's rival.

(I wonder how Mario was his own rival. Tails777 (talk))

Mii

Miis in Mario Super Sluggers have wooden bodies with painted on baseball uniforms.

[...]

It should also be noted that all male Miis are right-handed batters, while the female Miis are left-handed batters in this game. Both genders are right-handed fielders though. For some reason, they don't speak in the game. (probably due to the fact they are not alive, but animated dolls)

MIPS

  • MIPS, Also looks very high in this picture. He may have had a bit too much to toke before getting himself lost in the Basement of princess peaches Castle.

("Or maybe he's just good friends with Tommy Chong? The world may never know." - Stooben Rooben (talk))

Mole (Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars)

They are generous, outgoing, backward and unsophisticated people that Mario and co encounter during the events of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.

(Such shortsightedness and narrow of some ignorant folk we have around here! -I respect the Mole culture)

Mowz

Ms. Mowz from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is most likely a Mowz because she's a thief (though she is white)-plus the name Mowz may even be based on her name. Also the name Mowz is a pun on "Mouse".

(Ms. Mowz is a Mowz?! I never knew that!)

Noki

Blue (Grande Homem) Noki is the most famous of all the Nokis for his clutch play against the Bowser Blue Shells in the Mario Baseball League World Series. Unbelievable stats in the series mixed with his clutch performances at the plate against the Blue Shell's captain and ace, Keith Bowser, led him to being awarded with the series MVP award. It was later discovered that Noki had a one night stand with Kate Upton after the heroic performance. This loss sent Bowser down a spiralling path that he still has yet to recover from and the last the media had ever heard from him was "Blue is a great athlete and a great guy, but there is no way that guy wasn't juicing".

Old Man Skoo

[...]It is also unknown what species Old Man Skoo was during his lifetime, although the instance of "koo" in his name may suggest that he was a Koopa. [...]

Orange Yoshi

[...] |An Orange Yoshi later reappeared in Yoshi's Island DS, and was only playable on the sixth level of each world. Many people mistake this Orange Yoshi with the Brown Yoshi, who was playable on the sixth level of each world in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. However, Orange Yoshi and Brown Yoshi are two different Yoshi colors. [...]

Petey Piranha

After capturing the spectating Peach and Zelda in cages, Petey blasts Mario away with a cannonball from his mouth (How does a Piranha Plant learn how to do that?)[sic] before Mario can destroy a Subspace Bomb that has been dropped by the Ancient Minister, leaving Kirby as his only opponent.

Pixl Queen

The Pixl Queen is an unseen Pixl spoken of in Super Paper Mario. This rebellious Pixl is only talked about in four of Carson's stories, though quite a bit is revealed about her in these.

Despite the fact that the Pixl Queen was the first Pixl ever created, she seemed to stay largely quiet for what is thought to be 1,000 years after the creation of the Pixls 3,000 years before the setting of Super Paper Mario. However, seemingly long after the passing of her creator (the powerful magician who invented the process of Pixl-making), the Pixl Queen (then of an unknown name) finally rose into power, renaming herself with her only known name of "Pixl Queen." She then began to use her powers of mind control to manipulate all Pixls, causing them to eventually enslave most of the Tribe of Ancients (who were ironically once their masters) in her name. However, the owners of the magician's twelve original Pixl creations managed to somehow escape this Pixl Uprising and started to fight against the rebellious Pixls, containing them within Catch Cards and healing them. In the end, only one of these heroic Ancients survived, and he traveled with only his Pixl friends to the Pixl Queen's castle.

Once he arrived at the stronghold, he confronted the dark Pixl Queen herself, who immediately hid from the hero and shot a barrage of disturbing images to his mind telepathically. Although this greatly weakened the Ancient hero, one of his Pixls helped him through the tragedy and ended up defeating the Pixl Queen itself, although it was destroyed in the process of doing so. Afterwards, it was shockingly revealed to the hero who owned the Pixl that the Pixl Queen was the first created of the Pixls (perhaps created even earlier than the magician's so-called "original" twelve Pixls) and that the magician's motives for creating her involved the study of the Dark Prognosticus. The Ancient survivor, attempting to stop such a tragedy as the Pixl Uprising from ever happening again, then took the Dark Prognosticus with himself to unknown parts, likely founding the Tribe of Darkness known to once have possessed the dark book. Afterwards, the Pixl Queen's mutinous efforts led to the fall of the Tribe of Ancients and the outlawing of Pixl creation.

Though these are the only known actions of the seemingly late Pixl Queen, more is indeed known about the Pixl herself. Although the spirit united with the Pixl vessel that formed the Pixl Queen had previously been described as "demonic", Carson later stated that a certain one of the Pixl-creating magician's books revealed that the Pixl Queen's spirit was actually derived from a human rather than a demon. It was on this principle that Carson theorized that the Pixl Queen's spirit may have been that of the magician's own daughter (who did indeed get a Game Over during her father's life due to a deathly illness), although he later seemed to have disproved this theory in his statement that Pixls' spirits cannot be derived from Game Overed people. It is also unknown if the Pixl Queen had any helpful ability, although she was indeed able to control all Pixls and used the power of telepathy in her battle against the Ancient survivor, making these possible ability candidates.

Shy Guy

Yoshi is the main enemy of the Shy Guy clan. Yoshi has more abilities than an alone Shy Guy, making easy for him eat it and turning it in an egg. In the sports games, Shy Guy and Yoshi don't show any rivalry.

Mario is another Shy Guys's enemy. In Super Mario Bros. 2 Mario has to defeat the Shy Guy clan to defeat Wart. In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island Mario (as Baby Mario) rides Yoshi and fight with the Bowser army (including Shy Guys) to rescue his brother Luigi (as Baby Luigi). Mario and Shy Guys's rivalry isn't too hard in recent games.

In many games Bowser is the leader of the Shy Guy clan. The Shy Guys work for Bowser trying to do bad things, but they aren't bad.

Wart is the original leader of the Shy Guy in Super Mario Bros. 2 and Doki Doki Panic. These are the only Mario games where Wart is shown at Shy Guys's leader.

(The humorous thing about this is that it's a relationship section about a species, but written like the Shy Guys were a single character. It would be like writing about the relation between various things Mario eat in the Paper Mario series.)

Waluigi

(On May 25th 2011, the content on the Waluigi page was replaced with a cut & paste of the Wikipedia article about Dick Dastardly, a well-know Hanna-Barbera villain best known for his appearance in Wacky Races. The vandalism was reverted in a little less than 5 minutes after it was made. Because of the sheer length as well as the amount of broken coding involved, this revision isn't directly archived on BJAODN.)

Personality and Etymology

In his first appearance, Mario Tennis, Waluigi was personified as a dark and even sinister character. The only sounds he made were psychotic groans accompanied by dark, twisted laughter. Whenever Waluigi scores a point, his eyes also glow a wicked purple.

"(Luigi and Waluigi-haters alike had a great time writing this part.)" BabyLuigiOnFire (talk)

(later revision)

Waluigi is a very strange character. Apparently he tends to engage in odd activities like stalking Luigi, and talking in senseless, third-person mumbles.

...

Certain aspects of Waluigi´s personality can be seen in his appearence. Wario and Waluigi have comically deformed faces. But, while Wario´s mouth is shaped like a smile most of the time, Waluigi is almost constantly seen with a scowling expression. Which is fitting, since he is never happy. Earlier bios state that Waluigi doesn´t tolerate the joy of the other characters, possibly because he lacks it, and he thinks he doesn´t deserve kindness.

Trivia

  • Despite being Wario's partner in many games, Waluigi has yet to make an actual appearance in any Wario titles. <<<<this should not be a piece of trivia and should be removed. This is like adding to Daisy that she does not appear in super princess peach although she is peach's friend. This "trivia" is not cited in a manual or anything. it's bias and you know it. unless it is relevant or stated heavily in games, it isn't really trivia. this is just bias that shouldn't be included. unless you include that Tiny Kong despite being a friend of Dixie Kong does not appear in dixie's game and do that to every character like that, then remove this. it adds nothing significant to this article and is trash. clean it up off of this section please and thank you.

Wizpig

Template:Character-infobox

“Well, lookie here! It's the little worm!”
Wizpig, Diddy Kong Racing

Wizpig is a gigantic magical pig-like alien and the main villain of the game Diddy Kong Racing. Not much of Wizpig's past is known, what is known though is that Wizpig, bored, decided to conquer his own planet. Succeeding in this endeavor Wizpig forcibly transformed his homeworld into a high-tech amusement park (for himself) called Future Fun Land. Eventually Wizpig once again, grew bored and decided to leave his planet to look for thrills on other inhabited worlds. One of the thrills Wizpig discovered was racing. This sport eventually became Wizpig's favorite thing to do, along with causing chaos.

Flying overhead the various racers.

From then on Wizpig went from world to world causing destruction and racing those who were brave enough to challenge him. After a while Wizpig would grow bored of the planet he was on he would leave it, possibly destroying it after he had his sadistic "fun" on it. Eventually Wizpig wound up on the planet inhabited by Donkey Kong and a multitude of others. Landing on Timber's Island, a neighbor of Donkey Kong Island, here he set to work. First Wizpig kicked Taj the Genie off his mountain, second Wizpig brainwashed several racers on the island to be his servants, finally Wizpig turned Timber's Island's best driver, Drumstick into a frog when he tried to challenge Wizpig.

Eventually a resistance to Wizpig's tyranny, lead by Timber, the son of the island's owners and his friend Diddy Kong, was made. After freeing all of Wizpig's servants from his control the adventurers gained all the pieces to Wizpig's amulet, which allowed them to challenge the giant pig wizard. After a grueling race the heroes managed to beat Wizpig who, in a fit of rage, teleported away. With Wizpig gone the heroes threw a celebration, unfortunately this party was cut short by Wizpig, who was hungry for revenge. Transporting himself and an opponent to Future Fun Land, which Wizpig had modified into a deathtrap. Here Wizpig demanded a re-match, this time on his turf.

After a long race consisting of dodging killer robots, electric fences and laser firing weapons the heroes once again prevailed over Wizpig. After his defeat, the rocket Wizpig was riding malfunctioned, stranding Wizpig on a deserted planet. The big bully finally got what he deserved. It is likely that Wizpig would have reappeared in Diddy Kong Racing's sequel, Diddy Kong Pilot and Diddy Kong Racing's spin-off, Donkey Kong Racing. However, these two games were cancelled when the owners of Rare sold their majority share in the company to Microsoft, causing Nintendo to sell its minority share to Microsoft as well. Wizpig has recently appeared in Diddy Kong Racing's Nintendo DS remake, Diddy Kong Racing DS and, strangely, he is an unlockable and playable character. He sounds less like an evil warthog, and very much more like Count Dracula. His stats in Diddy Kong Racing DS was the same as Taj and like Taj and T.T., he was shrunk down a little to fit a car.

(Also, it should be noted that on a previous revision, Wizpig has an affiliations parameter that listed "himself".)
