These vampire-bats can turn Wario into Vampire Wario when Wario touches them. The vampire bat effect wears off when Wario flies into the light. These enemies only appear in two levels in the Sapphire Passage, these levels are Crescent Moon Village and Hotel Horror and they also appear in the Golden Passage level.
