The Koopalings have been revealed as playable characters in Mario Kart 8, which has been announced to be released on May 30 in Europe and North America, and on May 29 in Japan. NES Remix 2 was also announced to be released on the Wii U Nintendo eShop on April 25. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 were also among the first Game Boy Advance games announced to be released on Wii U Virtual Console in spring 2014.
