Macho Grubba
Support
- Tails777 (talk) This article was in good condition when it was last nominated, but it failed due to the trivia section. That was fixed up and the article hasn't been edited much since then so I feel it's good to be featured. If any objections come up, I'll try to fix them (if I can)

This is a pretty short article. Are you sure it's longer than the shortest Featured Article? I don't know which ones have comparable sizes. Baby Donkey Kong was unfeatured because it's too short, and this article is even shorter than Baby Donkey Kong. Mario (talk)
- To be honest, the Miracle Book article is comprised mostly of charts and those take up a lot of space already. Then there's Culex and the Koopa Bros article isn't that long either. This article may be small, but I feel it does cover the main details.Tails777 (talk)
- Did you just mention the Koopa Bros.!? Pinkie Pie (talk) 22:39, 12 February 2014 (EST)
- Yes and I say that because one of the reasons articles like that look long is because the pictures take up space. If you stripped an article of charts, picture etc, the article would look much shorter. The Koopa Bros. article has quite a few pictures on it and they space things out (looking at the picture near the Super Mario Kun section). This article has one picture (not including the info box picture) and one chart (and not including the names in other languages) and neither of them take up nearly as much space. My main point though is that sure this is a short article, but there is enough to make it featured. Tails777 (talk)
- Except the Miracle Book, I think, qualifies more as a unique type of featured list. Besides, a picture is worth a thousand words. Macho Grubba, however, does have a lot of information for just one appearance, hence why I didn't oppose right away. Macho Grubba is twice as short as the Koopa Bros. article, although the Koopa Bros. has a long "Names in other languages section", and a "members" section. Mario (talk)
- That is true about the Miracle Book and the Koopa Bros, but compare to Culex. He's probably in the same area as Macho Grubba in terms of his article. He's got one appearance and lots of information and that article is featured (though there seems to be more to write about him). Never the less, it's the same point here, even if Macho Grubba is a bit shorter than Culex. Tails777 (talk)
- FA Rule 11 says that articles must be at least 9000 bytes, this is around 8300. Yoshi876 (talk)
- This is ridiculous. Using that rule, we can just pad out the article until it reaches 9000 bytes. Thank goodness Pinkie Pie retracted his vote. Quantity is nice, yes, but we're not gonna sacrifice the quality of an article just for the sake of reaching byte requirements; that's stupid. It's simply a guideline, not a rule. Hell, Miracle Book barely passes that amount: it was featured because it was complete and filled with high quality images, not because of how long or how much words it uses. Baby Luigi (talk)
- Exactly, it's an FA because it has quality writing and images as well as passing the byte size requirement. We're not going to go, "Ph this article is past 9000 bytes therefore it can be featured" if the writing is awful. Yoshi876 (talk)

Would a small quotes section be necessary or helpful? I mean he does have some notable quotes that could be added. Tails777 (talk)
- Definitely Baby Luigi (talk)
Now that the article is over 9000 bytes, I think it is meeting FA standards. Yoshi K (talk)
