Here its appearance is more based on its appearance from ''[[sonicretro:Sonic Generations|Sonic Generations]]'' rather than it's original appearance. Many neon signs are scattered around the course as well as tall skyscrapers, some of which act as a part of the track. The track takes place on a snow covered highway with many famous shuttle loops and twisty roads. Speeder Cops act as hazards as well as large wrecking balls midway in the course. At the end, the player rides down a large skyscraper, a reference to the first appearance of the track.

Speed Highway is a location from the Sonic series game Sonic Adventure and its remake Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. It is a midnight highway themed stage appearing in the stories for Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. Speed Highway makes a crossover appearance in Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games as the Dream Event location for Roller Coaster Bobsleigh.
