Welcome to Yoshi's Island is a one-time playable level in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its remake, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. It serves as a gameplay tutorial and can only be played once at the beginning of a new file.
Level overview
The level is set in an open grassland with very few enemies and obstacles, making it easy for new players to get a feel for the controls of the game. It is the shortest level in the game and features no Middle Ring or GOAL! Ring, and no collectible items.
Trivia
Yoshi's House at the start of the level.
- The trees at the very start of the level resembles Yoshi's House from Super Mario World.
- The background music played is unique to this level.
- Part of this level is used at the end of Endless World of Yoshis.
