The Waste Basket is an item that is used in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars to throw away unwanted items. In the game, Mario can only hold 29 items. As such, if Mario is carrying the maximum amount of items and picks up a new item, he must decide which item to discard. The Waste Basket's description is: "You can throw away unwanted items." However, the player can't throw away important items. The Waste Basket is available from the very start of the game.
