The Beat Goes On is a four-player minigame found in Mario Party 3. The name of the minigame may be a reference to Sonny and Cher's song of the same name.

Gameplay

The minigame starts with the Shy Guys playing four drum beats. Players take turns copying the beat the Shy Guys made, while beating another drum of their choosing after copying the beat, with the next player having to replicate the beat as well as the added drum then adding another. If a player plays the incorrect drum, the Shy Guys throw torches at them, kicking them out of the minigame. The last player remaining wins. If both lines fill up before a winner is declared, the minigame ends in a draw.
