The Workshop is a location in the Secret Mine in Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon. Found just north of the Workshop Landing and next to the Maintenance Room, the Workshop is where Luigi first encounters the Shrewd Possessor in the mansion's boss mission.
The room itself isn't really seen during gameplay due to the battle with the Shrewd Possessor starting the very minute you enter, but is mostly like a tool shed with various shelves and other objects around the outside. There's also an icy lake which the Possessor uses as a host for the boss fight, a sleigh that can shoot bombs and at least one Furry Creature that Luigi can see the Shrewd Possessor torture by looking through the window.
History
In E-3 Across The Chasm, Luigi cannot enter the Workshop due to heavy snow taking out the power to the area and disabling the Strobulb sensor. He also cannot enter it after restoring power due to said snowstorm trapping him inside the Maintenance Room.
During E-4 Chilly Ride, Luigi can finally enter the Workshop via the front door. However, the Shrewd Possessor sees him immediately and escapes down the icy shaft in the middle of the room with Luigi on his tail, meaning that Luigi never actually gets to explore the area on foot.
In E-Bonus Severe Infestation, Luigi can reach the door to the Workshop from the Workshop Landing and see the Shrewd Possessor inside via the window. Despite the power being restored though, Luigi still cannot enter the Workshop for unknown reasons.
