: I have the PAL version and it says Poltergiest in the vault, and E.Gadd also calls each one a poltergiest and uses boffin as some sort of nick name in game as i have stated. - Cubeguy(talk)

Telekinetic?

what does telekinetic mean? unless it means: possesses things, it should be changed. a poltergeist throws, moved and just enchants objects by possessing them. 109.145.44.126 11:40, 2 March 2013 (EST)

Telekinesis is the ability to move things using psychic powers Yoshi876 (talk) 17:04, 2 March 2013

possession doesn't sound like physics, we must/should change it so it is correct. 109.145.44.126 12:37, 2 March 2013 (EST)

I said psychic, not physics the article is fine and doesn't need to be changed Yoshi876 (talk)

A: what does psychic mean and B: it isn't fine as it is, it is incorrect and possibly a speculation. 109.145.44.126 12:58, 3 March 2013 (EST)

Psychic is used to describe someone with psychic powers i.e. seeing into the future or moving objects without touching them, also there is a such a thing as a dictionary which can be used to look up words. Besides I've seen trailers where the Poltergeist uses telekinesis, another word for psychic powers, to attack Luigi. Yoshi876 (talk)

No longer a Boss?

Turns out there are 3 Poltergeist in the Gloomy Manor from this [1]. Does this mean its no longer a boss as there's 3 of them. Also the mission has been fully changed including the rooms Luigi visits. A major re-write is needed as well. - Cubegy

Poltergesit is a sub-boss, not a boss (although it's a boss in Scarescaper). There can be more of the same sub-boss; just look at the Kirby games. We'll probably have to rewrite the description of the rooms, though. Mario (Santa)'s map icon from Mario Kart Tour Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 21:57, 21 March 2013 (EDT)

I don't know why i am saying this, but the boss is called the brain, we might need to make a page about itRobecuba (talk) 10:44, 31 March 2013 (EDT)

PAL name

I have just been looking at the English website, and it calls this enemy a Boffin. I was just wondering if I could add that on. Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast - Rimmer (talk) 16:33, 26 March 2013 (EDT)

Go ahead. Binarystep (talk) 20:46, 26 March 2013 (EDT)

It is still called a Poltergiest, though E.gadd refers them to as Boffin's in game, this is only for the Ancient & Super Poltergiest, so it is incorrect. Also they are called Poltergiests in the ghost vault and E.gadd refers to them as poltergiests when first encontered as well. - Cubeguy2ver.pngCubeguy(talk)

The PAL name is indeed Boffin, and the other two are called Boffin Elder and Strong Boffin. Bowser the Second (talk) 02:19, 3 April 2013 (EDT)
