Rawk Hawk was the reigning campion in the Glitz Pit, until Mario arrived to steal his title in order to obtain the Gold Star, which is supposedly found on the Champ's Belt. However Grubba had the real Gold Star and was using it to power his strengthening machine, turning him into Macho Grubba. Rawk Hawk's only appearance was in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
His name is possibly a reference to a word invented by rock band Thousand Foot Krutch, "rawk."

Tattle: That's Rawk Hawk! He flips, flaps, and slaps! ...That's what the book says. He's really good at aerial maneuvers, but other than that, he's pretty...meh. One thing you should know is that Rawk Hawk NEVER fights above the board. Carelessness leads to lifelessness, y'know!
