Bob-omb Buddy

A Bob-omb Buddy, as seen in Mario Party.

The Bob-omb Buddies are pink Bob-ombs will help you by opening cannon hatches in Super Mario 64. They are rivals with the normal black Bob-ombs and where in a war against Big Bob-omb in the first level of the game.

Appearances:

• Bob-omb Battlefield, the starting point
• Cool Cool Mountain, a platform near the lift
• Whomp's Fortress, at the edge of the shallow pool
• Jolly Roger Bay, on the platforms to the right
• Shifting Sand Land, far corner near oasis
• Wet-Dry World, orange platform at the top
• Snowman's Land, inside the igloo
• Tall Tall Mountain, under a cliff
• Tiny-Huge Island, edge of a Bubbas pool (only when Mario's large)
• Rainbow Ride, at the top of the maze
• Wing Mario over the Rainbow, the large pink platform

They also appear in Mario Party games, as well in the Super Mario 64 Remake. They did appear in New Super Mario Bros. in mini-games.

Their color is the color most Bob-ombs turn when they are about to explode. However, Bob-ombs don't turn red in all games.
