The Echofinder is a status-changing attack used by several enemies in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. This attack affects only one person of Mario's battle party. The echofinder disallows to the member to use the "Y" Button for special attacks and it also deals damage to the targeted member. The way to prevent this attack is by wearing an accessory like the Wake Up Pin or the Safety Badge, or wearing an armor as well, like the Lazy Shell or the Super Suit.
