Gnips are enemies in the Wii video game Super Paper Mario. They are bouncing enemies that appear in Merlee's Mansion that will shoot you out of the mansion if you get caught in their grasp (similar to the Boos in Doopliss' Creepy Steeple). They actually try to help you by getting you away from the mansion because they know there is danger there. There is also a larger version of the species titled Gnaws that do essentially do the same thing as Gnips.
