Perspective Mode is an extra mode in Mario Party 9. It is only playable with one human, and there are ten minigames to clear. Unlike in Free Play mode, each minigame gives the player two party points.
Format
The player starts with only one minigame unlocked. Minigames are played with the camera right behind the character the player is controlling. Whenever the player clears a minigame, he/she is given a new one and 5 party points. After clearing all ten, the player is given a bonus of 100 party points.

- Logger Heads
- Ring Leader
- Magma Mayhem
- Pianta Pool
- Piranha Patch
- Skyjinks, modified so that the player has only one life
- Plunder Ground
- Billistics
- Mob Sleds as solo player
Trivia
- In addition to the perspective changing in Skyjinks, the camera also no longer scrolls automatically.
