Template:Levelbox Screwtop Tower, or Rock-Candy Mines-Tower2, is the second Tower of Rock-Candy Mines in New Super Mario Bros. U. It is unlocked via completion of Walking Piranha Plants! or Thrilling Spine Coaster, and its own completion opens the path to red and blue Exclamation Mark Switches, Shifting-Floor Cave, and the second entrance to Roy's Conveyor Castle.

Layout

Unlike the previous six towers, the boss of this tower is Boss Sumo Bro., a Sumo Bro. empowered by Kamek. The player must hit him from below to stun him, and then stomp him to deal damage.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: After the first section of Screwtop Platforms is a yellow Warp Pipe that leads to the area with the first Star Coin.
  • Star Coin 2: On a Screwtop Platform's path, to the right.
  • Star Coin 3: Above the section with the boss door, the player must use Hidden Blocks to reach it.
