Template:Levelbox Stone-Eye Zone, or Layer-Cake Desert-1, is the first course of Layer-Cake Desert in New Super Mario Bros. U. It features Moai Heads and sand geysers. Various ice cream and a large cake are seen in the background. It is also the last course in Easy Pack. Completing this course will show the first instance of Nabbit and will unlock the Cannon Pipes used to get from world to world.
Layout
The course's main gimmick is the Moai Heads, which do various things, such as move side to side, move up and down, and sink into the sand/ground when Ground Pounded. Various palm trees also appear to allow the player(s) to reach high places. Quicksand also exists to hinder the player and stop progress.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: In plain sight, the player must leap off the Moai Head below.
- Star Coin 2: The player must use the Flying Squirrel suit to reach the Warp Pipe, on the tree after the Midway Point, that leads to the second Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3: Within a Sand Geyser, it can be collected by waiting until the geyser comes up, or when the Moai Head moves so the player can grab it while the geyser is up.
