Goomb-Acorns are a new species of Goomba who will debut in the upcoming Wii U title, New Super Mario Bros. U. They are short, lighter brown in color, and resemble acorns more than they do mushrooms. They have different facial features, and black stems on their head that look like tomato leaves. Based on the E3 2012 trailer, and a trailer on IGN, this sub-species will appear in the sky level of Acorn Plains and one of the levels in Challenge Mode.
