Hey
Just a heads up - don't use 'you' in articles, use 'the player' or something to that effect. Don't worry, you're not in trouble, it's just a friendly reminder. And the 'strategy' sections are unneeded. Sorry to sound so naggy, I just want to help you get on the right track, and believe me it can be really hard to figure out what to do at first! But welcome to the wiki, and if you ever need a hand, just leave me a message on my talk page. I'd give you my userbox, but all that's under construction at the moment! - It's best not to, because we are encyclopedic, so that means no strategy guides or anything like that. Oh, and remember to sign your comments by putting ~~~~ or ~~~ at the end. It makes it a lot easier to see who's written what. But only use it on talk pages. ThatPeskyKoopaling

- Well, as I said, it's best not to, but if you can rework them into a good description of the gameplay, feel free to do that and put that under gameplay. ThatPeskyKoopaling

- Basically, no strategy sections, but rewrite them as a description of what the game is. e.g. - Instead of 'in Super Mario Bros. don't jump on the spinies and don't get hit with Koopa shells', write something like 'in Super Mario Bros., some enemies, such as Spinies, will injure Mario if they are jumped on. Koopa Shells can also hit Mario if they bounce off pipes or walls'. Okay, that's a really bad example, but just try to make a strategy into a description. Also, if you're into writing strategies, may I recommend strategywiki.org/wiki, the Strategy Wiki. ThatPeskyKoopaling

- That's exactly it! Good luck with all your Wiki endeavors! And I'm glad I could help! If there's anything else, remember to check over the links in your welcome message, they'll really help! ThatPeskyKoopaling

Re: Question
First you have to make 10 edits, and you have to wait a week. ThatPeskyKoopaling 08:58, 9 July 2012 (EDT)
- Yeah, it can be dull. But you've already made 10 edits, because it doesn't matter where you make them. A whole week can be a long time, but it's there to stop vandals or something. I think it's so people don't just join to make a userpage and never even make an edit to an actual article. But I'd recomment trying to get to grips with all this coding first, it saves a lot of hassle when it comes to Userpages. You can try things out in the sandbox. ThatPeskyKoopaling

Colour Codes
Colour codes (yay for British spelling!) are a bunch of letters and numbers that can add colour to writing, backgrounds and the like. Here a little example:
Get some text: Donkey Kong
Now let's add colour: Donkey Kong
Simples!
Here's what the coding looks like: <span style="color:#00F">Mario Wiki</span>
And you can do the same with anything, just by putting those tags (inside the < and >) around whatever it is. And you can change the font of text just by replacing "color:#???" with "font-family:???". And if you wanted to give it colour and a different font, you'd put both, separated by a semicolon. (;)
So let's change the colour and the font on our text: Donkey Kong
And here's the coding: <span style="color:#F0F;font-family:Century Gothic">Donkey Kong</span>
It does look a bit complicated, but it'll get easier the more you use it and get used to it. That's probably the most basic kind of formatting to know, and it's really useful. If you need a list of colour codes, just click here and there's a link on that page to even more. And remember, if there's anything else you need to know, just ask!
