:First off, its name is obviously a combination of the two words, secondly, no, there is no guide. But the number of tentacles (squid have 12, octopus have 8) gives away its species. {{User|Marioguy1}} | :First off, its name is obviously a combination of the two words, secondly, no, there is no guide. It there any kind of guide that says whether Squiddicus is an octopus or a squid? It looks more like an octopus, but its name kind of indicates that it could be a squid. Fawfulfury65

Well if there is, I have never heard of it. And I'm pretty sure there are other deciding factors on their species. Marioguy1 (talk)
- I have DKCR, and I don't see him anywhere in the booklet. Nintendo makes many portmanteaus of animals, so it could be said he's a octopus and squid. He may most likely be a squid because half of his name refers to a squid.
