Goomba Spotting is a Free-for-All minigame featured in Mario Party 9.
Introduction
Two Goombas cross through your field of vision. The camera backs up and changes angle slightly.
Gameplay
Players try to count the number of Goombas as accurately as possible. As Goombas run across the screen, they will sometimes be stacked on top of each other, similar to a Pokey, or a Buzzy Beetle might run across the screen. It is important that only Goombas are counted. The player with the closest tally, or all players with the correct tally, win.
Ending
All the Goombas are gathered in a field, and jump up and down one-by-one as a tally increases until all of them have been counted.
Trivia
- Gameplay here is very similar to Roll Call from Mario Party 2.
