Template:Minigame-infobox Lean, Mean Ravine is a 2-vs.-2 minigame in Mario Party 8. Its name is a pun on the saying "Lean, mean, machine".

Introduction

The camera faces both teams of two players in their respective hovercraft, before panning behind them, at which point the screen splits in half (one half per team) and the game begins.

Gameplay

Each team of two must attempt to beat the other team to the end of the course while avoiding water jets in the ground which will slow them down if hit. The only way to speed up is by going over a ramp. The game is rather similar to Canyon Cruisers.

Controls

The Wiimote is held sideways and the player steers the hovercraft as one would steer a car. If both players steer in the same direction, the hovercraft will turn sharper.

Ending

The winning team celebrates on the ending platform, while the losing team, still in their hovercraft, is spun around on a water jet behind them.
