Template:Minigame-infobox Chump Rope is a 1-vs.-3 minigame in Mario Party 8. Its name is a pun off on "jump rope", which is used in the gameplay.

Introduction

The solo player will be turning a rope with a Shy Guy, and three Goombas will be jumping in it. The Goombas leave, and they are replaced by the trio one by one. Then, the rope stops moving and the game begins.

Gameplay

The solo player must swing the rope the topple the trio within the time limit of fifteen seconds. The trio must obviously jump until the timer runs out. If the solo player succeeds in hitting all three players with the rope, they win. However, if at least one of the players survives until the time runs out, the three-player team wins.

Ending

If the solo player wins, they will preform their victory pose as the three remaining players are seen jumping rope repeatedly as two Shy Guys try to trip them. If the trio wins, they will each do their respective victory pose, and the solo player will be seen jumping the rope swung by two Shy Guys instead.
