It is incredibly irksome not to have time to do what I want (only reason I'm on here is because I'm temporarily putting off some homework). I haven't been able to touch ''Majora's Mask'' in about a month (my progress extends no farther than obtaining the Oath to Order) or anything for that matter. When I get free time, I spend it playing the NES games I got as a 3DS Ambassador (if you ever get around to getting a 3DS, you can get them starting in October, though you'll have to pay for them) and waiting for the GBA games (which you won't get in the foreseeable future). I'm also trying to read occasionally (currently on Christopher Hitchens' memoir). On a good day, I get to play a few levels or a world of Yoshi's Island. I have no SNES, GBA, or 3DS VC copy (as that doesn't exist yet), so I shouldn't have to tell you how I'm playing it. Time is a cruel mistress, monsieur. It passes most slowly when we anticipate something and passes most quickly when we dread something. In my case, my birthday's coming up in three weeks, and I'm impatient, but at the same time, it makes me feel old. I'll probably feel old when SM3D Land comes out even though it's new, since it references so many classic and endearing games. I swear, if Nintendo wasn't around anymore, I'd have stopped playing games years ago, and it depresses me that so many people think quality lies behind the barrel of a gun. I probably sound either cynical or suicidal, but that can't be helped. No sense in complaining, though...eventually, I'll get what I've been waiting for, and while I'll not have more time, it will at least be more manageable. I apologize if this decimated your mood. Hello, you have reached my talk page. I'm going to warn you straight up that I am a serious nerd about a lot of things and that I will reflect that in our conversation.

If you plan on having an idle conversation, you should probably read my userpage so you have some idea of who I am. If you have some sort of question, I can try to answer it or I can refer you to someone who can. I have an account on MetroidWiki by the same name, so I can attempt to help with any issues regarding MetroidWiki.

A few rules you agree to by posting on my talk page:

  1. I will reply on this page
  2. No spamming, flaming, or any type of offensive language
  3. Spelling and grammar should be as correct as possible
  4. Sign all of your comments or I will add Template:Unsigned to them. If I haven't added the template, that doesn't mean you should add it for me, I probably had a reason.
  5. Languages are English and 1337-speak, no other languages accepted
  6. For MetroidWiki users; casual discussion can go on either wiki, wiki-based goes on the wiki it is based on.

Now that that's over with, feel free to create a new header and talk to me.

My current status is: Active again. Mostly just waiting for an edit to fall out of the sky, lots more to do on MetroidWiki, but less users there

I know you're on a mini-hiatus and all, which is commendable since the fruits of your efforts on the Metroid Wiki will help it and this one, but if you haven't already, I highly recommend getting your hands on OoT 3D. I've spent the day playing through the child dungeons, and I have to say that the game is just gorgeous (bottles look like bottles, Great Fairy's breasts don't look like sharpened weapons, etc.), and the fact that you can use the 3DS gyroscope to look around and aim weapons in first-person makes the game a lot more fun to play (making shots more precise), and it certainly is nice not having to interrupt gameplay to equip an item. My only gripe thus far is that Navi is actually more annoying, as Nintendo added Sheikah Stones (larger versions of those one-eyed stones) to give first-time players hints. I've been ignoring them, but Navi will occasionally ask if I want to use one (her voice is still irritating). I can't wait to see what they did with the Temple bosses...anyway, this should keep you occupied until Skyward Sword, which, according to a small booklet in the OoT case, comes out in the fall. I almost didn't read the message; I ignore any messages with that at the beginning on instinct. I'd love to play OoT 3D, I just need a 3DS first... Some things I'd rather not see with updated graphics, such as any scene with Princess Ruto or any Great Fairy's fountain (although Link looking woozy at one in MM would be funny in 3D). Do you mean to tell me that you won't have to go into your menu fifty times to complete the Water Temple? I heard about those Sheikah Stones, they looked better than a Super Guide, if you get what I mean. I brought up the whole linking issue on MetroidWiki and the admins all agreed that the best solution was to have better content. One of them asked me to work on Samus' article, specifically the Prime 3 section (I haven't played the game yet, but it's not so bad). So basically now I'm making huge edits to major articles there instead of making 10-character minor edits to articles on mini-games or some boss or something here... It's definitely a new experience... It felt weird replying here, but it's actually a little easier... Bop1996 (Talk)
Wow, I'm impressed (sorry about the message intro...didn't know when you'd see it). I'd make an account over there and help out, but my Metroid knowledge isn't that great compared to my Mario knowledge...in any case, I might consider it if what you're doing gets overwhelming. Don't know if you've checked, but the admins decided that MetroidWiki is the source to use. Anyway, Ruto and the Great Fairies aren't that bad (though you have to wonder how they got past the ESRB). Also, everything menu-related is on the touch screen. Two items can be assigned to the X and Y buttons, while two others can be assigned to I and II areas on the Touch Screen. That means that you can equip the Iron Boots or some other item without interrupting anything, and you can also access your essential gear and map through tabs. Now, the only thing you can do upon pausing the game is saving or quitting. As far as the Sheikah Stones go, I'm glad they don't actually do things for you (an example I saw out of curiosity was Link using Din's Fire to get into the Shadow Temple, but the game doesn't tell you how to get it). Since my last message, I completed the main game and unlocked Master Quest. If you played it on GameCube, you're still in for a new experience because they mirrored the entire overworld (similar to TP). I'm in the Forest Temple now, and let me tell you, I have to do everything in my power to avoid raging at Miyamoto. It is not fun getting killed by a Stalfos after three hits. I wish I could say my contributions here are on par with yours over there, but I can say that I've given Reggie the respect he deserves. Mario4Ever (talk)
Wow, how many heart pieces did you collect first? The Reggie article could never capture how awesome he is, but you've done a fine enough job capturing it (the quote passing admin inspection was enough for me :)). Good on the admins deciding to link to the NIWA affiliate, that should help with the confidence factor among daily contributors (all three of them). Both ZeldaInformer and ZeldaDungeon liked the changes that balanced old and new, I personally thought the Master Quest addition was genius (don't want more ReDeads in the game). You don't need to create an account if you think you can't contribute enough, although at this point almost any positive contribution is welcome. I'm not overwhelmed, I enjoy 2,000 character edits with two or three references from the logbook and entire paragraphs to rewrite. Ruto passed the ESRB without a T rating? I am imagining what the Water Temple would be like without going into the menu to do Iron Boots, and it seems a good deal like TP's Lakebed Temple... As you can tell, I'm still checking my messages, and I did split Koopasta and Koopasta Dish as per my TPP, but that's just about it, my editing is on MetroidWiki for the time being. Bop1996 (Talk)
Heh, I found the quote amusing, and I figured that since it captured Reggie's personality, I would just tack it on and see how it went (considering the stance on Bob Hoskins, I didn't think there'd be an issue). Concerning MetroidWiki, I went ahead and created an account over there, figuring that some help would be better than none. I've actually found that I know more than I thought, as I'm sure you'll see by the recent changes (username should be obvious to spot). Anyway, I've collected two or three Heart Pieces so far. They were never really something I looked for, but I should probably look for some considering I only have six hearts (which means Stalfos take two hearts per hit). It doesn't help that OoT 3D provides me with my first ever Master Quest experience (cows inside Jabu-Jabu? WTF?). As for Ruto, she doesn't look that different, honestly, just less jagged (lol). Another thing about the Water Temple I should mention is that they added glowing-colored borders at the entrances to the rooms in which you change the water levels to make navigation a little easier, and on a unrelated note, they brightened the sky slightly during Ganon's fight so you can see him more easily. There are tons of other aesthetic changes you just have to see for yourself. In case you're wondering, there are no Sheikah Stones in Master Quest. Well, I think I should try and improve the MetroidWiki now to relieve my ennui.... Mario4Ever (talk)

You must have a lot of time on your hands...I commend your efforts, and those are some interesting anecdotes. Wish I could say the same about myself. My sentiment concerning my day-to-day activities goes something like this:
