Dogs are a very rare species in the Mario series, but they do exist. Some people keep them as pets, but there are also more intelligent, anthropomorphic dogs. Chain Chomps act very similar to dogs and were even inspired by a real life experience of Shigeru Miyamoto that involved a dog.[1] In the Club Nintendo comic "Rummelplatzquatsch", a herd of dogs urinate at Luigi. In WarioWare: Smooth Moves, many dogs were seen entering Club Spice alongside Jimmy P.
