Template:Infobox Luigi's Mansion 2 is an upcoming Nintendo 3DS game that will serve as the follow up to Luigi's Mansion (which was released for the Nintendo GameCube). The game is confirmed to have several mansions,[1] but there is little info at the moment. The game also introduces the Poltergust 5000, the Poltergust 3000's upgrade.[2] Shining light via flashlight is no longer sufficient to stun all ghosts in the game. Players need to activate a strobe function to stun the ghosts. The game is said to be a lot more puzzle oriented.[3]
Characters
- Luigi
- Professor E. Gadd
- King Boo
- Toad[4]
- Mario (inferred when Luigi shouts "Mario" during the intro)
Species
Mansions
- A regular Mansion with a Front Yard. This is explorable in the E3 Demo.
- A similiar Mansion with a little different layout. It rains outside it. [5]
- A Mansion covered in Snow. [5]
Items and Treasures
Enemies
(Some Ghosts have sunglasses which protect them from the strobe light. The sunglasses must be vacuumed before capture.) [5]
- Unnamed green ghosts with 10 HP. (May appear with sunglasses)
- Unnamed black ghost with 4(?) HP. *Check external links, ref tag isn't working correctly.*
- Unnamed red ghosts with 30 HP. (May appear with sunglasses)
- Unnamed boss-like orange ghost with 75 HP (Professor E. Gadd refers to it as a "Telekinetic Ghost").[6]
- Unnamed mummy-like ghosts which rise from the ground.
- Suits of armor which attack with their swords if Luigi goes near them.
- Spider that is purple when it crawls down and brown when it runs on the floor.[6]
- Gates that are similar to the vines that block doors from the original Luigi's Mansion. Unlike the vines, though, the gates not just block doors but also paths like the middle of a stairway.
Rooms
- Guard Hall[7]
- Front Yard[7]
- Study
- Lab
- Library
- Dining Room[6]
- Foyer
- Common Hall
- Entrance[8]
- Garage[8]
- A pyramid themed room.
- A Courtyard of some sort. It features Plants which give a key if they are flashed on with the strobe light.[5]
- A Greenhouse
- A Bathroom
- A Lab like room
- A Room with blue floating orbs with the door blocked by glass
- A snow filled room similar to the Cold storage Room in the First game
