A Purple Yoshi.
The Purple Yoshis are a species of Yoshi. The Purple Yoshis in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island only play the castle stages of each world(with the exception of the sixth castle, which Green Yoshi plays).
One can be unlocked in Yoshi's Story by collecting all the Heart Coins in each level. A Purple Yoshi also appears in the story intro.
They appeared in Super Mario Sunshine. Yoshis can turn purple by eating a Durian or a Pepper.
